It’s part of the G Suite, so you can pull in anything from Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar. It allows you to choose from a Pen, Marker, Highlighter, or a Brush. – Jamboard is a digital workspace just like a physical whiteboard which allows you to add images, draw shapes, and put content and notes from external sources to a shared canvas. There are no limitations with the number of boards you can create with Jamboard. With Jamboard, you can have as many jam boards as you want. However, Jamboard is free to use on the app while Padlet limits its free version to 3 Padlets and caps file size uploads before you go for a paid version. – Both Jamboard and Padlet are basically similar tools where multiple collaborators can add text, drawings, and images to a virtual whiteboard. It is available on 42 languages with more being added. Padlet has been around for quite some time now and it is widely used among teachers. Padlet is more like a teacher’s tool that offers a single space for a notice board where you can feature images, links, videos and documents, all on a wall which can be made private or public. If you’re a teacher, using a Padlet wall can be an outstanding tool to create kind of an asynchronous forum or students can engage with content or topics that are broken up into categories. It is like an online wall onto which you can post comments rather like virtual post-it notes. It’s like a dynamic workspace which is totally empty and where you can add a combination of ideas and draw from your own mobile devices. I feel like this could be a great app to use for the right individual but it wasn’t for me.Jamboard is a digital collaborative whiteboard, kind of like a physical whiteboard, where you can put down ideas, solve problems, or draw, and share ideas with others in real-time. When trying to get the embed code for this it was not producing me with one -even though there was a button that allowed for it. I tried it on both Safari and google and it said that my browser wasn’t supported. ![]() This was what I made with Wakelet, I don’t know if it was just not compatible with my device but it was not working. If I were to use this app with my class I could use it to have them create a ‘get to know me‘ board at the beginning of the year that included an array of different modes to demonstrate who they are and what they like. It was also very easy to get an embed code and share it on to this site. Padlet also is very visually appealing and friendly, it allows for everything to be in the users sight. I like how it allows you to search for different things within the app -images, websites, videos, gifs, etc. Its platform is very easy to use and I didn’t run into any user errors. I really enjoyed using Padlet, out of the two I tried, it was the winner.
